Crunchy Fudgy Brownies

Everyone needs a classic fudgy brownie recipe but sometimes, you just want that little crunch that bursts your taste buds into heaven.

This brownie has that melt in your mouth gooey center with a shiny crinkly top and Maltesers hidden in it, give it a soft crunch.

If you want super Fudgy brownies, leave the Maltesers whole for the surprise pockets of crunch, or crush them if you are more into chewy texture.

Enjoy these Crunchy Fudgy Brownies.

Ingredients:

• 225g butter

• 340g semi-sweet chocolate (aprox 54%)

• 100g white sugar

• 200g brown sugar

• 4 eggs, room temp

• 2 tsp vanilla extract

• 50g all-purpose flour

• 90g cocoa powder

• 1/2 tsp salt flakes

• 250g Maltesers

Ø 20x30cm baking pan

Instructions:

  1.   Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2.   Melt butter and chocolate in 30 second intervals until smooth. Set aside.

  3.   With a mixer, beat the sugars, eggs, and vanilla until pale in color. About 5 min.

  4.   Add the warm chocolate and beat until combined.

  5.   Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and sprinkle the salt. Beat at low speed until combined.

  6. Fold in the crushed or whole Maltesers.

  7.   Pour the batter into the pan. Decorate with more Maltesers and bake for 25-29 min.

  5. be careful not to overmix the dry ingredients to avoid a tough, chewy texture

  6. always line your baking pan to prevent the brownies from sticking

  7. don't overbake to avoid dry brownies. you can tell when the brownies are fully baked when the edges are set and the top is shiny
