Chocolate covered cherries or Happy Hippos? What would you choose to decorate these chunky and chewy Kinder Red Velvet Cookies?

We love the creamy touch of Kinder chocolate melted into the Red Velvet cookies. What about you?

Super easy ingredients and no need for a mixer, these one bowl cookies are a pleasure to make them.

Just double the recipe & have some in the freezer ready to bake whenever sweet tooth moment comes.

Ingredients:

  • 125g butter, melted

  • 100g brown sugar

  • 75g white sugar

  • 1 egg L

  • 250g flour

  • 5g cacao

  • 1,5tsp baking powder

  • 0,5tsp baking soda

  • 5ml coloring

  • 20bars kinder chocolate, chopped

  • happy hippos, white chocolate to decorate

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the sugars into the melted butter.

  2. Mix in the egg.

  3. Sift the flour and cacao.

  4. Whisk in the baking powder and baking soda.

  5. Add in the coloring until the desired color is achieved.

  6. Fold in kinder chocolate chunks.

  7. Shape cookies. Freeze them for at least 30 min for chunkier cookies.

  8. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  9. Bake for 23-25 min.

  10. Decorate with Happy Hippos or chocolate covered cherries & enjoy!
